Wayamba Journal of Animal Science is published by the Society of Animal Science of the Department of Livestock & Avian Science, Faculty of Livestock, Fisheries & Nutrition, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.
Wayamba University of Sri Lanka was established in August 1999. Faculty of Livestock, Fisheries and Nutrition (FLFN) is the newest addition as the fourth faculty of the university. Though the faculty is young in age, it possesses the potential and capacity, so that it guarantees the best education that any local university would offer in the relevant stream. FLFN comprises four departments namely, the department of food science and technology, the department of livestock and avian science, the department of applied nutrition and the department of aquaculture and fisheries.
Wayamba……… a land of pride, wonders and prosperity, there beneath the feet is the breathing history evident by what is left from a magnificent civilization, and built on that is a grand society, seeded with agriculture, industrial and economical strengths, perfect ethnic blend and essence of cultural heritage. Wayamba, a province that awaits approaching challenges of future with true courage and confidence.
