The microbiological safety of raw milk from twenty dairy farms in Kashmir valley was determined. Milk samples were collected from four districts namely Pulwama, Baramulla, Srinagar and Ganderbal of the Kashmir valley according to stratified random sampling design. Samples were analyzed for Coliforms, Standard Plate Count (SPC) and Methylene Blue Reductase Test (MBRT). It was observed that there is non- significant difference (p>0.05) statistically in case of MPN index of four districts. Further, in case of SPC on 10-7, 10-6 and 10-5 dilutions nonsignificant difference was observed in all districts of the valley. In case of MBRT, there is a significant difference among the four districts. 1322386722.php
